Founded by Alistair Gray, WinchesterHR is a specialist consultancy delivering advice on a wide range of HR matters to organisations of all sizes across the public and private sectors. 

 

Support provided by WinchesterHR will be delivered by Alistair personally or by a handfull of carefully screened associates agreed with you in advance.

Alistair spent 20 years as HR Director for a major regional law firm and a leading national law firm.

​

Prior to this he was a management consultant with a global HR consultancy.

​

Alistair spent his early professional career in the public sector, first as a civil servant in the Scottish Office then in various HR and line management roles in the coal industry in the run up to privatisation. He was Head of Pensions Administration for the Mineworkers' Pension Scheme and Head of HR for a county police service. He was a Director of the Solent Academies Trust Board for several years, chairing the Standards Committee and the Teaching School Committee.

 

Alistair is currently a Selection Panel Member for the Judicial Appointments Commission and an Accredited Mediator specialising in workplace mediation.

He has a first class honours degree in Business Studies and was a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development for many years.
